Customer testimonials

Just wanted to let you know how much I will miss having you do my hair!  I think it’s probably been a couple of years, now that I have been coming to you and I can’t tell you what a relief it has been to know that every time I come to your salon, I leave with gorgeous hair done exactly to my taste.  Sounds basic, but don’t know that I have really ever had such a high level of satisfaction with my hair before.    I’ve never before been to a stylist who can cut, color and style to my satisfaction – usually you can get 1 or 2 of the three, but not all three.

Also, I have always appreciated that you ask me what I want and listen to what I don’t want (eg. lots of heavy product in my hair).  It’s amazing how much junk stylists always seem to want to put in my hair – no matter how many times I tell them, I just don’t like a lot of that stuff weighing my hair down.  Thank you for listening to me.

Lastly, my hair is just in fabulous condition.  I appreciate your knowledge and expertise about black hair and your commitment to educating me about my hair. How it is constructed, what it needs and how to take care of it.

It’s with a heavy heart that I send you off and wish you well.  I’ll miss our conversations about books and movies and politics, and I’ll miss that wonderful feeling of having my hair look good all the time.

Thanks, and good luck!

Kim

Emmett has been my hair stylist for over 5 years in Minneapolis.  He was highly recommended and after trying multiple others I had my first appointment with Emmett and never wanted to go anywhere else.  His knowledge and dedication to the care of your hair is outstanding.  Seattle you are lucky to be getting the very best!!

I wish you well as you transition to your new opportunity.  Seattle is beautiful!  Please send the recipe for products you used with my hair when you get a chance.  I am glad to be a reference for you as you saved my head from baldness!  Peace to you and your family during this time of transition.  Keep in touch.

Emmet,

I finally found someone that I thought could really take care of my hair and make it healthty again. I am so impressed with your knowledge and willingness to share that knowledge. I was there for the first time Sunday, Nov. 9, my hair had been in braids and I thought it was a lost cause.  You did an excellent  job and explained what was happening with my thinning hair and what I could do to help correct it.  I was ready to commit and now you are leaving. I have not found many hair stylists that empress me in the Twin Cities.  But I know we have to do what is necessary to continue to grow. So I wish you the best of luck in your new adventure.

My 11 year old daughter Sophie has long hair with incredible volume and many different textures throughout her head of hair, she has never been  able to brush through her hair by herself.   Sophie just recently had her hair cut by Emmett — he thinned it out, layered it (still can go into a ponytail) and then gave her an appropriate style for her age.

For the first time she can brush through her hair in less then 5 minutes!

Peace

Emmett,

I was just reading your email...I'm very sad to see such GREAT talent go.  I wish you the best in your journey and I just wanted to say thanks for making my hair look beautiful and making me FEEL beautiful.  I remember when I first came into your shop about 5yrs ago, my hair was a HOT mess, and I didn't think there was a miracle out there for my hair.  After coming to you and your very well trained and educated staff, my hair is the healthiest and happiest it has ever been.  I was the "perm" queen, but when you introduced me to texturizers--I never looked back.  This may sound silly, but wearing my hair in its natural state changed me too, I felt very liberating and even more secure as a black women--I was working the hair and NOT letting the hair work me.  In conclusion I wanna give you BIG props and a even bigger thanks for giving me the best service I have ever received in all my years of getting my hair done. I will miss you Emmett.

Well my friend, take care of yourself and remember if Seattle doesn't appreciate you like Mpls does--just come on back home, because I know a whole BUNCH of ladies that would welcome you back--with open arms.**wink**

P.S. To the lucky client sitting in Emmett's chair---you are in GREAT hands!!  Oh and enjoy your hair wash, it's pretty damn explosive, you'll know what I mean when Emmett washes your hair.   Enjoy!!

 Thanks,

Danielle
